Krystal Lee's life was rough from birth. Born to parents who struggled with their own demons, she entered the foster care system early, moving from one unstable environment to the next. Amidst the turmoil, Krystal found solace in art, sketching and painting as a way to escape her chaotic reality. At 12, she was placed in a group home in Grapeseed where she encountered a group of older kids who seemed to offer the acceptance she craved. Their influence led her into a world of crime and drugs. Her grades suffered and her future seemed bleak. At age 16, after getting in trouble with the police due to the so-called friends she surrounded herself with, Krystal was expelled from school, kicked out of her group home, and wound up homeless. She tried to get help from her friends, who rejected her and left her alone.
Krystal moved to a distant city to escape her destructive environment. There, she slowly rebuilt her life. She reconnected with her love for art, pursued her education, and got therapy to address her past issues. The fresh start allowed her to heal and rediscover herself.
